Potomac service center US Citizens

Hello everyone,

it seems like Potomac service center is moving faster on LPR on I-130 by 2 months. I thought US Citizens had preference. Am I seeing something wrong! 

Any input appreciated.

It might seem that way on paper but once an LPR petition is approved it gets sent to NVC but it sits in a room until the priority date becomes current and a visa is available for issue.

 

When a USC petition is approved it gets sent to NVC and it is immediately processed and forwarded to an embassy as there is no waiting for a visa to be available as there is always one for USC petitioning for spouse.

Yes you are right. I also want to add one more thing, the website always does not show the correct processing time. For example, my case was citizen spouse but still on the website shows they haven't start working on the January filer case but I got approved 7/22. It is just a approximate time frame. Thanks !!
