Trump given a subpoena for all documents relating to assault allegations

A high-stakes legal showdown is brewing for President Donald Trump, as a woman who said he groped her has subpoenaed all documents from his campaign pertaining to “any woman alleging that Donald J. Trump touched her inappropriately.”

The previously unreported subpoena was issued in March but entered into the court file last month. The White House did not respond to a request for comment, nor did Trump’s attorney.

Summer Zervos, a former contestant on the Trump’s reality TV show The Apprentice, accused Trump of kissing and grabbing her when she went to his bungalow at the Beverly Hills Hotel in 2007 to discuss a possible job at the Trump Organization. After Zervos made the accusation last October, just weeks before the election, Trump denied her accusation and called it a lie.

She responded by suing him for defamation. As part of that suit, her lawyers served a subpoena on his campaign, asking that it preserve all documents it had about her.

When it comes to negativity about Trump, you’ll find several here will post just about anything, from any source, hoping it will come true.  Not fake news, just desperate hope that it leads towards an impeachment.  It’s amusing to watch sometimes.

The same is true of posts about Hillary. Fake news everywhere. It's sad to see how she is still under the skin of Trump supporters. A care of sore winning. LOL.

Except not much of it is fake with her.  A lot of the false news surrounding her comes from her own mouth.

Even if what you say were true. I still find it sad the gets under the skin of so many people.

 

Incidentally, Trump got called on a lie on camera today on the lawn of the WH, and of course, as usual, he tried to blame someone else. Priceless.

While Trump's attorneys have said Zervos' allegations are politically motivated, her lawyers disagreed. 

"Contrary to Defendants' spin, this case is not about robust political debate. Ms. Zervos was not a political opponent, nor was she a political commentator routinely engaged in criticizing candidates," Zervos' attorneys countered in a court filing last month. "She came forward to report the details of Defendants' unwanted sexual battery only after he repeatedly lied publicly about his behavior. Defendant then used his international bully pulpit to violate her for a second time."

Trump's attorneys face an October 31 deadline to further respond in support of the request for the case to be dismissed.

The White House referred comment to the campaign, and a representative did not return a request for comment.
