Here's a link to a video from the event. Can you point out the part where he get's booed off stage?

Can you point to the part where NB said GL was booed off the stage?  I can point to the part where he followed the forum rules and posted the topic as it was presented in the source.

Perhaps your issue should be taken up with Mara Siegler.  I feel (s)he is the one who may be the one in error.

And kudos to you for pointing out the obviously false reporting.

I didn't say NB said it. I asked him if he could point it out where it was said. George Lopez getting booed off stage is the topic of the thread.

If the alleged event's did not actually happen that is pertinent to the discussion.

It was SAID in the article he pasted.

I think it’s pretty obvious no one can point to where it HAPPENED, since from your video link, it never did.  George did not get back on stage, as he said he would, but we don’t really know why from the clipped video you posted.  His jokes may well have fallen flat, but those are not included in the video either.

Again, I am trying to discuss the topic here. If you can find any video of where he is boo'ed off the stage it would be helpful to the discussion. Besides this one, I see a lot of video's of people talking about Lopez getting booed off the stage, but none of it actually occurring.

It seems the topic is a dud. Fake news?

I, too, am discussing the topic. Agreeing with you, even.  Just saying you make it sound like NB said it, and the burden of proof is on him.  I don’t see it that way.  I think the author of the article should be the one who would have to answer those questions, since (s)he is the one who posted it publicly, and it doesn’t seem to bear up to witness.

If only there were a way to hold people accountable for the things they say.  Perhaps GL should sue h(im)er for libel?

I would say so, at this point.  As I said above, there should be a way to stop people from publicly posting stuff like this.  Fake news is truly becoming so bad that one can’t believe much of anything we read nowadays.  I had to waste time this morning on 4 different sites just to verify that Cheerios are actually healthy before I could pour the milk into my bowl.  Turns out they aren’t really all that healthy, BTW.

Not my intent. NB and I were the only ones who had posted in the topic at that point so I was asking him. However I would welcome if anyone has a link to a more complete source or video of what happened.

In general, going by past occurrences, I would say a person starting a topic does have some responsibility to verify the accuracy of the article they post.

They can only be as accurate as the source. In this case they all appear to be using the same one.

On the upside, if Lopez was booed with a Trump joke, he most likely deserved it. The so-called president is such a treasure trove for material, that  any comedian should be able to come up with great jokes.

Probably Lopez's writing was not fresh.
