Yesterday, I finally imported my car (Canadian Mitsubishi 2011 RVR) from Québec Canada to Washington USA. I had my letter on compliance from Mitsubishi Canada but didn't need it. I was afraid I would have to pay a big fine or something because my car was in the states since February 2016 (19 months). The lady at the port of entry, in my town, was very nice. She only needed my registrations. She didn't want to see my letter, the EPA nor the DOT form. She gave me a letter to bring to the vehicle license place. Once there, I was surprised how fast it went. After a quick convertion of my KM in miles and 140$ later, my car is now American!!! Lol.
