I had filed my husbands visa in F2A category and the date got current yesterday. I submitted documents to NVC recently and now I realized that my Tax Return was filed as Single for past 3 years. NVC takes 11 weeks to review documents and let me know if they need something else. Now I am worried that my tax status will be an issue. Can someone please please tell me how do I fix this? will I have again submit my documents to NVC and wait for 11 more weeks? Please help!!

As per my knowledge, I don't think tax filing status would be anything of their concern as long as your husband has never been to U.S., or he has a social security number. You may amend your taxes once he comes to U.S. if necessary.

Since, you've sent your documents, there's not much you could do anyways. So, just wait for them to respond but it shouldn't be a problem.

Hope this helps and good luck!!
