hello my fiance is from Manila, Philippines and i recently got my NOA2 on April 18th 2007. inorder for her to get her passport does she need a Original and photocopy of Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) Guidance and Counseling Certificate of Attendance". And where in Manila does she apply for a passport? i'll do some checking for myself i thought just maybe i could get a quick answer here first since this website is great when it comes to finding the right info FAST! thanks everyone

06/18/12: I-130 for parents approved

06/25/12: received email from USDOS - with MNL# assigned for both parents & agent registration (DS-3032)

06/25/12: received email from USDOS - requesting for AOS (Affidavit of Support) processing fee for $88.00

if she's a first time passport applicant, all she need are the following:

-birth certificate from NSO

-3 copies of passport size photo

-passport fee of Php500

and she needs to appear at the department of foreign affairs..for further info click here

I saw a thread here before re: the same - whether to take that seminar to get the passport etc. All your fiance really needs to do is the above. Just tell her to say the reason she's getting a passport is for TOURIST. Tell her not to even mention Fiance at this point. A Passport is a passport there really is no difference between a tourist and a K-1 or K-3. I think there'll be more of a hassle if she says it's for Fiance, then they may have her take that CFO seminar first etc. FLowchart is --- get a passport (as tourist) ---- get the fiance visa ----- get the CFO stamp. Getting a passport as a tourist is a lot easier, less hassle. Good Luck!!!

05/28/07 - Applied for Joan's SSN - no problems - got it in mail a few days later

07/09/07 - Got Maui'd in Hawaii Wedding Photos

07/19/07 - Got vaccination for Joan (she didn't get it in Phil)

08/15/07 - Filed our AOS papers

10/--/07 - Found out we sent the papers to wrong office. We've called several times to get this clarified but all got is that we need to WAIT for our papers to be forwarded or returned to us.

10/--/07 - We got our papers back.... ngngngng and re-sent it to the right office

01/23/08 - Got our interview date

03/10/08 - INTERVIEW DONE!! Our Interview Experience
