ACA ALREADY increased premiums for a lot of people.  Hugely.  Those who can’t afford it are better off just paying the penalty each year.

Insurance companies got nervous because Trump has been hinting for a long time that he would not guarantee the subsidies. He definitely is not building ACA up and
improving it but Sabotaging and undermining it because he has no other plan but to destroy destroy destroy so premiums will go up even more now with
the young and healthy opt outs. Pre existing conditions are also coming back in the fore front. This will be one of the worst 'no deals' he has done to this country
which he will come to regret at the next elections. People won't take this. He and his useless "repeal and replace" choir is a limb rag non policy hissy fit.

What part am I spinning? Obama was denied the subsidies by Congress he needed to keep Obamacare afloat. He instead went and looted Fannie Mae to prop up his failure. The courts ruled that was illegal and Obama continued doing it anyways. Again I will ask do you lefties expect Trump to break the law to prop up Obama's failure?

Trump is trying to get people to abandon ship alright...He is trying to get them to jump into the frigid cold waters where they will be dead in a few minutes (To continue the Titantic analogy).

 

There is no "rescue ship" on the horizon. You can't abandon ship without hope of rescue. Stay on the ship as long as possible until there is a ship available, or until you absolutely have to abandon. The people that jumped off the Titantic first were likely the first to die of hypothermia. He isn't offering them a life raft, he is just going to leave them floating in the water and "hope" that a rescue comes quickly enough.

 

If you want to replace the ACA that's fine, but you have to do it the right way. Congress was trying to do that. You need another plan to switch over to. You can't just say "Fine I'll just sabotage what we have now, people will suffer AND THEN we can create a new plan". That isn't responsible. That is being reckless with the health and lives of the American People. It is childish.

How many times do I have to explain this? It shouldn't be that difficult to comprehend. Obama needed subsidies to prop up his failed bill. Congress said no. He stole the needed money from Fannie Mae. The courts ruled that is illegal. He continued his illegal activity anyways. Trump took over and decided he wasn't going to break the law to prop up Obama's failures. There is no sabotage here. Only a president trying to comply with the law and a court ruling after giving Congress plenty of time to figure out a way to resolve this big hole in Obamacare. Obamacare was destined to crash and burn. Doesn't make it Trump's fault just because he is the president when it happens.

People like me who support Trump have seen their premiums triple since Obamacare was passed. We have already been hit pretty bad by Obama.

It would be interesting to see just how many people on this forum, who think the ACA is a good thing, or at least rally for the support of it, are paying over $1,000 a month in premiums, and who have $15-20,000 a year in deductibles.  Anyone here on ACA?  Care to share your stats with us?

It would be interesting to find out how much coverage they had before the ACA. The only people who I see complaining are those who didn't have any insurance at all, and relied on ER and skipping paying for their medical treatment. In other words, they ACA made them take responsibility for their medical care. They are upset, because they were already on the single payer system, Some One Else took care of their bills.

No, they are NOT the only people complaining.  I am complaining.  I think the prices that ACA victims are paying are ridiculous.

 

But I assume your lack of ACA info means you don’t carry that insurance?

I've never let my health insurance lack, and I never stuck my medical bills to someone else, for them to pay.
