Waiting time after RFE was received by USCIS

Hello! If you have experienced this, your response is highly appreciated!

 

I have an I485 application. After my interview, I was sent an RFE and USCIS received my correspondence last August 29, 2017. I haven't heard from them since then. I called their hotline # and they advised that it may take up to 60 days.

 

Does anyone know if it really takes 60 days or longer?

It can take a few hours, days or months. I have seen cases on there that took over a year or more, though it's unusual.

 

You can put in a service request to inquire about your case. If that doesn't give you a response yo can start thinking about getting help from your congress person. Giving USCIS at least 60 days seems like a good idea though.

Would you know how to put in a Service Request? Is this thru the USCIS website?

Just in case I won't hear from them after 60 days.
