There are a 130 references listed in the link and you can further study it if you wish. My point is don't assume he is not that which you accuse others of. Tamer than Wienstein
in number and depth of sexual misconduct/harrassment but nevertheless he is a perv and fits in with the rest of them and he is not what the republican party sees as family values.
Therein lies the hypocrisy.

People trying to sweep it under the rug regardless of political affiliation. It is just a different group trying to "sweep it under" while a separate group demands that it must be discussed.

 

It really isn't a partisin issue. Yes Bill Clinton was a creep, and yes it is hypocritical to talk about Weinstein and forget that there are Democrats out there who were guilty of similar things.

 

It is also incredibly naive to ignore that there are plenty of Republicans, our President included, who has bragged and been acused of the same things. I see no reason to believe he isn't guilty, just like Clinton, just like Weinstein.

 

It isn't their politics that makes these men similar. It is their position of power and the personality they used to get there. Left or Right doesn't really matter. We all know politicians are hypocritical all the time. See the Senator who spoke out against abortion while suggesting his mistress obtain one. I'm sure there are similar "left-leaning" examples as well.

 I thought the same thing, just exchange the word left for right and there you have it, both parties have pervs. This jumping on wrongs done by the
left and not seeing wrongs by the right and Trump in particular is hypocrisy and denial. It must be the new sport on the internet in this divided country.
I see nobody sweeping horrible offenses under the rug. I for one have always said it's on both sides but I do not see you and others here admitting it.

There is a fictional "middle of the road" that some people on CEHST try to argue they fall into, despite their consistent and quite obvious bent in one direction.

 

Most threads on here are essentially aiming at either making the Left look worse (posted by someone from the Right), or making the Right look worse (posted by someone from the left). There is very little middle ground.

 

This, I think, is a perfect example of where people could actually have a great discussion by throwing politics out the window. This isn't a partisin issue. It isn't "left leaning" men that sexually harass (somewhere on the spectrum...I wouldn't say any form of sexually harassment is "mild" though), and it isn't "right leaning" men. The unfortunate fact is it is men in general. The numbers are worryingly high in terms of how many men do it, and how many women have had to live through it.

 

That shouldn't be about politics.

Who in the world are you talking about? Hope its not a current member because calling out, accusing or belittling  a poster not in a reply, to something they posted is baiting and a couple of more violations I cant think of at the current moment , and considered a  fairly serious violation of the TOS?

I am speaking broadly about my opinion and observations of the CEHST forums and not about an individual member or any particular thread. I am referencing nothing specific to these discussion. There isn't a specific person in mind. We all do it. I will try to claim the middle of the road in a lot of situations, when I know in reality I will always lean to the left. That is just general politics in the USA right now. It's also human nature to see your own opinions or ideas as "center", "rational" and "correct". It is difficult to overcome that as well.

 

I believe the subject I was quoting was speaking quite broadly as well.
