Job offer but no degree

Hi,

So I am from the U.K. and married to a Mexican, we both live here in the U.K. as my wife has a marriage visa.

We are now wanting to move to the US and I have a company who want to employ me, they have said they will do what it takes to get me in the US to work with them as they have a shortage of good qualified technicians.

The problem is is that I don’t have a degree of any sort and the job it’s self doesn’t require a degree just a lot of training. I have contacted a lawyer in the U.K. and they said it would be near impossible for me to get a visa to go there and the only visa option I would have could take over 2 years and cost a lot of money (EB3)

I have actually gone to the states to speak to the employer and they want me to start ASAP but they have no immigration experience either  and said they are going to contact an attorney.

My question is, has anyone else experienced anything similar and what did they do ? Is there a visa for me ? What would be the best path to go down and/fastest?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Down to the Employer and their Lawyer to investigate possible options, very much depends on the individual details, that is how Lawyers earn the big bucks.

Is this a short term move? More options for those.

Let us know what the Lawyer says, EB3 would seem to be the one.

Sometimes it's like this....Bachelor's Degree OR 5 years of work experience. Am thinking that the employer is looking at your experience.

For example for a H1B, one of the requirement is "H1B is issued to a specialty occupation, requires theoretical and practical application of a body of specialized knowledge along with at least a bachelors degree or its equivalent."...whereas "its equivalent" means number of years in experience.

Not a speciality occupation, H1b still has the job needs a degree level requirement, this is a trade position.
