During GS time, we detoured to a scrap-metal business, first time ever man.

(Mama T-B. had given us an old chafing-dish (stainless steel) and some lead pre-bullet components, recycle we man.)

This place had more security than any airport + courthouse + Fort Knox combined, amazing man.

 

Their first action was to record the T-B.-mobile's license plate, document man.

They then took our offerings, accept man.

They then told us to enter the work area and face away from everybody, looking into a camera, record we man.

They then gave us a receipt and told us to drive around front for payment, reimburse we man.

 

Up front was an automatic window like at after-hours gas stations, behind Plexiglass man.

Lady demanded our driver's license, and our signature and right thumbprint on the receipt, precursors man.

Lady tallied our payment, nearly $Many ($2x2x2x2+2), rich we man.

Lady printed a form and said, "For cash payments, a new State law requires your thumbprint on this page," re-inky we man.

We signed and re-thumbed this form, document we man.

Lady gave us our $Many and (upon our request) a dry paper towel to de-ink, end of process man.

 

No one was impolite, and the entire process took perhaps Many (2x2x2x2+2+2) minutes, efficient man.

We can only figure that all this was part of eliminating thefts of air conditioners for the copper, once rampant man.

Nevertheless, good grief man.

After GS-ing and erranding, we took Mini-B. to visit Mama T-B., lunch we and wee and senior she man.

Lunch was take-out Burger King with use of coupons, major savings man.

The thoroughly out-stressed Mama T-B. was rejuvenated by her newest descendant, rejuvenated-by-juvenile senior she man.

And Mama T-B. gave us another huge sack of stuff for the donation place, never-ending out-cleaning man.

After lunch, we napped like a dead thing, crucially necessary zzz man.

We then mowed the front lawn, half for grass half for leaves man.

None of the leaves were ours, infernal trespassers man.

 

The casa faces north, sigh man.

Upon our attempted off-cleaning of the driveway, the cold front blew in, chilly man.

 

First were strong northeasterly gusts, blow debris back man.

We adjusted our blowing, blow off we man.

Next were strong northwesterly gusts, blow debris back man.

We adjusted our blowing, blow off we man.

After fully half an hour, we had made negative progress, same debris plus new leaves on driveway man.

We hate Fall, boo man!

Sunday is the last day in business for our nearby Sears store, after Many (2x2x2x2x2+[2x2x2]+2) years of life man.

 

When Mini-B. was littler, he loved that store, delighted wee man.

He would run long distances up & down all the corridors, exercise wee man.

He would ask to ride the escalator and elevator over and over and over and over, thrilled wee man.

 

Even more than wanting to patronize the presumed Many% (2x2x2x2x2x2+[2x2x2x2x2]-2-2-2%) last-day discount, we want to take Mini-B. there one last time, revisit man.

 

Mrs. T-B. might come along, stupid not to at those prices man.

But if not, we want to relive the experience together with Mini-B., memories man.

This is worth violating our "we hate to leave the casa on Sundays" policy, assuredly man.
