Send some of those tree rats over here.  Our neighborhood cats ate all the squirrels and fledgling birds this year.

No one has answered our earlier query about why financially stable seasoned citizens refuse to spend pennies on A/C, mystery man.

Well, if as you say money isn't the issue, it may be a generational thing. Money was tight for many of these people, very tight. You don't waste it on things you think are window dressing. My Grandmother was a newlywed at the start of the Depression, and take it from me you never tossed a scrap of food in her presence. Or left a light burning in a room one was using.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

I am not a fan of this weekend, Mexico City goes crazy!

we have our own version of ''black Friday'' that lasts the weekend, but it is mostly just monthly payments and not discounts.

There's a major music festival going on with the Foo Fighters playing today, and people want to watch the football game tomorrow.

Being the honorary hipster that I am, Carolina and I are going to watch ''Anti-porn'' a Japanese movie by Sion Sono,

at our National art film archive.

What are you guys up to this weekend?

Ok now I can sit a minute.

I wanted to thank everyone for making me feel like I'm not nuts or overacting.

Turns out the kid was removed from her class because he is the same kid that threatened her a toy gun earlier this year.

I'm glad her teacher did do that but it seems to still be lacking. Like why didn't they tell me this??

The sure should have. Makes you wonder what else they haven't bothered to disclose.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

i know right!

She has come home and tells me she ripped her tights because she scraped her knee. No note or call or anything. I figure ok well it's just s crape. Nope she then tells me it's because she was tripped at school and not by accident.

A few weeks ago her and another kid collided in gym class, complete accident no big deal but, she hurt her nose pretty bad that it hurt for days. There was bruising, I should have been called and be allowed to make the decision on whether I wanted to get her looked at. Not finding out when she gets in the truck hours later.

They seem very darn lax about the safety of kids in their care. I'd be pitching a three-cornered fit at that place.

So I picked out my dishwasher. Now to rip out my cabinets to make a spot. I know I'm going to complain even more about space but darn it all after all these years I want a dishwasher!

Now drinking some tinto de verano with one of my best friends, watching another movie.
