1.  Today's attempts:

2.  what do you guys like to cook/have when you're trying to eat healthier?

1.  Deleted because of nausea, sorry D2 ma'am...

2.  We lost Many (2x2x2x2+2) pounds Many (2+1) years ago when Mrs. T-B. & Mini-B. went to Ecu, shadow of our former self man.

For Many (2+2+2) days/week, we ate the following for dinner, see man:

-- A pack of microwave rice mixed with a can of atun and either a can of peas or a can of Cream of Mushroom soup, si man.

It was very filling, satiated we man.

On the Many'th (2+2+2+1th) day, we ate whatever we wanted, usually fast food, si man.

For workday lunches, we ate our usual Many (2+1) margarine-&-jelly sandwiches on hamburger buns, routine man.

For one or 2 weeks, if we recall, we switched the above for pressed turkey on hamburger buns, variety man.

For snacking at the computer, we eschewed cheaps and instead munched on baby carrots, keep our mouth busy man.

This is how we lost the Many (2x2x2x2+2) pounds in Many (2+2+2+1) weeks, bachelor diet man.

Mrs. T-B. added the following, see from she man:

"When I was driving to I-Many this morning I saw "Apartments for rent/Departamentos en renta" and then comes the mistake "We pay bills/Nosotros pagamos biles." Biles doesn't exist in Spanish. It is a derivation of bill and a made-up word that Spanish people created to say the word 'cuentas' or 'gastos'.  Terrible translation."

Do not mis-translate, language-garble, or word-create before the fearsome Mrs. T-B., no man!

Speaking of cheaps, this casa is completely bereft of them, woe are we man.

However, we found a partial canister of raisins, former grapes man.

They're stuck together and require both hands to dislodge, inefficient man.

Cat has just occupied our lap, affectionate miu man.

And now we have hairy palms, better than Propecia or Superglue man.

Two ongoing beefs (beeves?) that we have with Mrs. T-B. are as follows, see man.

1.  Cat's on-table inspection of people-dinner does not automatically equate to cat's eating of people-dinner, no man.

2.  When we are finished with people-dinner, cat should be allowed to lick plate, helps with warsh-dishing man.

We conclude that Mrs. T-B.'s parochial views of the above are hangovers from having begun life in Ecu, where cats are merely animals and not family members, conclude we man.

I'll look into a pea-based protein powder, mostly whey like you mentioned which I don't like. we don't have a lot of options in Mexico but if that is the case I will ask my husband to bring me one, maybe.

I'm staying at the 1500 margin right now, but I can't go much lower without feeling a bit sick. My only real option I know is to actually start exercising to burn the stored energy that I have been so lovingly keeping with me all these years, hah. I do some yoga/pilates but I want to start some cardio in a month or so, I'm recovering from an injury.

1500 is fine.  If you go too low you eat below what your body needs to survive. Sure you will get rid of weight if you do that but its very bad for your health.   The goal is to be HEALTHY not skinny.  Lift weights, do pilates and yoga, walk more.  I understand that fresh food isn't easy nor always readily available.  It can also be expensive.  But we all know it is better for us.  We feel better, react to annoyances more positively, and are less likely to be angry, sad, emotional, and depressed.   Taking time for yourself is a requirement of life regardless of if someone has told you its selfish in a bad way.  Its not.  You're the only person who goes through this life with yourself.  Be kind.

And that's perfectly okay for someone who's just living life to live it.  If you don't want to pay attention to it, then don't.  It's a choice and a lifestyle to pay attention to the actual nutrition of the food and many people don't need to bother if they paid attention to portion sizes and the content of their food (more veggies, less sugar)

Just living life to live it. Yep, that's me.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

I've done fad diets in the past and I know they're so bad for you. You always gain the weight back, and a lot of it is only water or even mass, but not fat.

fresh food/organic is definitely more expensive, but I'm doing the best I can to incorporate as many veggies and fruits, and I'm feeling great because of it just like you mentioned. When I eat unhealthily (pizza, soda, store bought cookies etc) I feel lethargic and moody, so it totally makes sense. I've never seen taking time for ourselves as selfish, I think it is absolutely necessary to work on yourself before being there for others, and you're less likely to be resentful and mean to others. I feel like a lot of people fear the insight of ''loneliness'' or alone time, but it has been tremendously helpful to me.

Thank you so much! you're really kind and helpful <3

Good morning everyone <3

I'm brewing some Oaxacan coffee that smells amazing. Fixing myself some eggs.

I'm getting lunch with a friend, Ximena and then my childhood friend Carolina is coming over.

She is visiting from Veracruz, and we are exploring Mexico City this weekend.

I have an appointment in the afternoon, one of my regulars and looking forward to it!

Day off tomorrow which is rare for me, and a cancer survivor I'm tattooing on Sunday,

I donate those, which means I won't be making money on the weekend and I don't mind it at all.

I used to feel pressured about money, but I'm learning how to enjoy experiences and relax more.

Nausea? Are you pregnant? :D

In Oaxaca, we tried chapulines (grasshoppers) and I just couldn't. When I saw the little legs... not for me!

The ''secret'' is to cut down on calories, we tend to overeat when we don't have enough protein, so I can see how your tuna dinner was so filling!

I also do a bit of rice, tuna and veggies some days. Salmon and broccoli are one of my simple, go to lunches and I usually go lighter at night

that's good I love baby carrots with hummus, great snack. And I also have veggies and fruit with chili powder and lime, very Mexican thing to do.

We don't tend to go heavy for dinner unless we are dining out, so switching that is going to be interesting.

The way I've only managed to lose weight was by cutting down all carbs, and duh, it works, but I don't want to go that extreme again.

It is not sustainable, so I'm doing some changes little by little: no soda, fast food, candy, chips, less ''bad'' fat, more vegetables.
