My MIL has just got off the phone with a mate of hers at the Volunteer group. She used to vollie at the hospital before there were...issues and she was let go. Her friend has offered her a desk job on the Cardiac ward. Likely on the basis of my MIL insisting she just can't walk a lot, so can't work in admissions anymore. Not on the basis that there is anything else wrong with her, which there most certainly is.  She can't direct people to anywhere, she can't remember where anything is. And in the 30 minutes since the phone call, she's asked me 4 times already what day and time she is meant to be there. This is not going to go well.

 

Oh boy... well, they'll probably find out soon enough...

I was taking a nap until my bank calls and tells me that the foreign check I deposited two weeks ago was incorrectly processed by them and they'll need to remove the amount from my account while they re-process it correctly.

 

Good thing there was extra in my checking account, but I'm still annoyed.  The amount I should be credited is greater than the amount that they originally deposited it for and I've been waiting on the correction.

Oh you asked was clear jel was.  It is a thickener that works better than regular corn starch.  

 

I did one batch of applesauce today.  It is pink!  I'm kind of surprised by that despite the apples being partially red as I've never made it before.  I'm going to see how many apples I have left after doing the apple pie fillings and then see if I should do another batch or two.  

 

Onwards to baking bread and making dinner.

Job interview went well.  But I'm honest if I'm not sure I want it.

It's a great job and will pay better than my current job.  As it's at a vet clinic I'd get reduced pricing on my pets needs as well.

BUT I don't see much upward growth in it.   Whereas if I"m patient with my current job, I could eventually manage a club and even move up from there.  

But it's full time hours, better pay than I currently make and could be a career type job if I'm content with staying in one position.
