We had those post-Columbine.  They changed the entrance even to have bullet proof glass and delayed entry.  My daughter's school in CT always had a police officer at the door.  

 

Here in MN, you can just waltz right into the schools and no one will even see you.  The doors aren't locked, the office has no view of the doors.  *sigh*  It is across from the sheriff's office, but minutes is all it takes to inflict a lot of damage.

To sum it up - two ladies and baby purchase a shoddy tiny house for $45k.  It is basically unusable in winter.

 

Why did they do this in a state where you can buy an actual house for $45k?  Why do they expect people to fix their mistake with a gofundme?

Employee under my supervision is currently AWOL. This individual recently (last week) received verbal warning from HR for not letting me know he was going to leave work, after explicitly being told to do so by HR... He had vacation on Friday and Monday, expected to report to work today and he is not here. No phone call, text, email or smoke signal. Silver lining... someone just bought themselves a one way ticket out!

It's lovely when they make it easy for you isn't it!

Spent all day at the hospital with my mother getting scans. Got to go home rush hour traffic from Manhattan, in pouring rain..

Kids doctor called, she has strep, go to the pharmacy. 

Pick up dinner, get home. 

 

Find a letter...

Kid made it the the next session at that famous ballet school!! Woohoo!!

Bragging rights! 

We went to her recital yesterday at the school...very impressive. 

They have a "back stage" area where they're treated like performers, they fix their hair, dress them, etc...

And I just noticed today that the board of directors are mostly rich and famous. 

The school's got juice man...

Tied another high-temperature record today, Texas Many elsewhere Less man.

However, Wednesday to be far colder, barely Many (2x2x2x2x2x2) F. even if that man.

Why can't Elsewhere keep their frigid stuff where it belongs, huh man?

And why must our casa/driveway get every tree's leaves, trespassers all man?

Had to shut off my headlights and fans to get the car to start at 11 am today.  Brushed about 5 inches of snow off the thing.  When my daughter left for school it was 1°F.

 

You are just jealous that you aren't part polar bear.  Speaking of bears (double entendre staying), the Dane agreed to my baby name.  So now the Dane, the little Dane, and the little little Dane will all have names that mean bear!  Hahahahahahahaha.  Perfection, well almost, I should change older child's name to Ursula to fit with the bear theme.
