Maybe they wanted to get married before the end of the year because they realized how much they were losing by not doing MFJ on their taxes.

The after-marriage after-moving to America pounds will come.  I told my husband that I wanted him to dress up as a hairy princess Leia for my birthday.  I'll be Jabba the Hutt, 'cuz that is how I feel lately.  I'm trying to guilt him into going back to the gym with me once the baby is here.

I actually lost weight on my first marriage, but I'm worried about the food shift. I spent 6 months in the U.S already and didn't gain much, I just have to try to stay active and eat as healthy as I can. I'd make a great Jabba the Hutt!

Some of it was the food,  we honestly couldn't afford much of it in Denmark and what there was in snack foods was not inspiring.  Some of it was the shift in activity levels.

Now for me, I think my primary food issue is stress from school.

Relationships are always weight gain for me and I'm sure that a huge part of that is that I'm not into skinny guys.

I didn't use to be into skinny guys, but I fell in love with the skinniest one of all. Haha. He doesn't gain weight and eats crappy, and it just makes me feel more pressured.

I would love to visit Denmark, I am afraid of the food shift, Mexico has a lot of fresh food still. I was so concerned about how different fruit and vegetables taste in the U.S, even when I try to buy organic. Everything felt more... plastic? fake? off? I'm going to miss authentic Mexican with fresh ingredients so much...

My husband doesn't gain weight, he's actually less than when we met, but he can put back 5-6k calories a day and not gain.  Even just cutting to 3k and he loses weight like crazy.  I find being around his eating a struggle when I'm trying to eat a mere fraction of it.

Maybe grow some of your own?  You can also find some local farmers too who don't grown on an industrial scale.

Thank you I'm definitely looking at that option.

Ugh my husband is 125 pounds or so, and 5'10. Curiously what I should weight, or around that.  I'm 5'1 and... a lot more :D we are inverted.  it's a struggle but if I go above 1500 calories without exercise, I gain weight. He can eat burgers all day and not gain a thing. It is what it is, right?

The male metabolism is an amazing thing.  The female metabolism as we age is not so much so.  I was trying to explain to my mother that at her age (mid-60s), that her calorie needs are practically nothing.  It is a hard transition to eat such a minimal amount, at least for an American.

Mine is 275, but he is 6'6".  No one here is getting to know my preggo weight, it is Jabba ridiculous.

a millon/ a million. my BMI is over the line, my current weight is 170 :( and I think I'm around 35? or so. I know, ugh. I can't be almost 40% fat! the thought of it. I need to regain control for sure.

According to calculations, I should be doing 1200-1500 which is hard to at times, but anything over that I start piling on. I also definitely need to start exercising.

Is it just me or does 36-40 look thinner than 30-35%?

I think it is interesting that the media pushes very thin women, but I personally find someone this shape to be the most aesthetically pleasing:
