The tour buses park by the golf course 4 blocks away. They need porta Johns by the golf course is what they need.

I sympathize with the residents it's really irritating when you can't get to your house because of tourists, we live at the beginning of the blue ridge parkway and during leaf season they park however they want, block roads, drive ways, camp on private land, dump trash etc

But having said that we are incredibly lucky to live in such a beautiful place and it's only a few weeks...

Our local library is within eyesight, but honestly I never go.  I used to frequent the library at least weekly, if not more often, before we moved.  Three things: it is small, it doesn't have good study spaces, and the hours are bizarre.  It isn't even open on weekends, you know, when a lot of people would find themselves there.  Part of it is only having the budget for one librarian and she only wants to work M-F, rather than Tue-Sat or whatever.   The last bit is that the terror troll of the north is not library friendly.  Even as a newborn he would scream if you brought him in that building, and he is loud and enjoys de-shelving and destroying books.

I put 3 bowls of candy for hubs to hand out.  He said to me "seriously?" and I said fine, turn out the front light and put your headphones on.
