Thanks to yesterday's rain, we discovered that the sealant from the HVAC in the attic had worn off (I guess that's how it'd be described) and water started to filter through the windows of the family room from top to bottom..... yay. The silver lining is that we caught it. The rain stopped in the middle of the night and we never would have noticed.

 

Morning... need to get a new job

I hope so too... Mr. C was already talking about replacing the windows... I think that's a bit of stretch... but, we'll see. Someone is coming out tomorrow for a quote. Our house was built in 2000.. is not that old! I'm hoping we don't need to do anything to the windows..

 

I need to do that and I need to go back to actively looking. I'm one of those people who are analyzing every single "what if?" and stay where I am comfortable. Comfortable doesn't mean happy. I need to get over that.

I think very few people are happy at their jobs. 

 

Is is it the flashing that is a problem?  Rain was pouring into our house when we first bought it. Turns out the roofers didn't do a good job flashing around the chimney.

I just want to be closer to home and I think I don't want to be a manager anymore. The older I get, the harder I find it to deal you people's stupidity. I'm losing patience... quickly.

 

:unsure: I guess it could be, but Mr. C was the one who looked at it and said it was coming through the HVAC vent thingie..

Just as we off-logged last night/this morn, Mrs. T-B. called us urgently, call we she man.

Mini-B., who'd had cold-symptoms since his flu shot, was laboring to breathe, congested wee man.

 

We had Mrs. T-B. give Mini-B. some cough-syrup, swig wee man.

We had her find his old inhaler, previous episode wee man.

Mrs. T-B. set up the bedside vaporizer, warm steam man.

 

We phoned after-hours nooser (Texan spelling), medical advice man.

Nooser listened by phone to Mini-B.'s cough and diagnosed stridor, one step above croup man.

Nooser recommended breathing hot steam in shower, best quick fix man.

Nooser got us doc appointment for this morn, priority for wee man.

 

After we up-hung with nooser, meds kicked in, much-improved wee man.

Mrs. T-B. slept all night with Mini-B., tied for #1 ranking as world's best mommy she man.

We slept with one ear open, semi-zzz we man.

 

This morn, Mini-B. feeling better & acting normally, better wee man.

Mrs. T-B. exhausted like a zombie, dedicated she man.

We are autopiloting, caffeinated-bloodstreamed we man.

No report yet from doc visit, silent Mrs. T-B. man.

 

Mini-B. obviously staying out of skool today, homebound wee man.

We hope that he recovers in time for Halloween, important man.

We & Mrs. T-B. almost certainly postponing Anniversary Dinner Caucus this eve, priorities man.
