This casa is desperately bereft of potato cheaps, emergency run required man.

In tribute to the missing experience, we have written this Spanish haiku, comments needed from D2 ma'am & C ma'am:

 

Las papas fritas

aumentar la cintura,

y no importa.

 

(The potato cheaps / increase the waistline / and it does not matter.)

So, the Dane dislikes ultrasound pictures and can't figure out what he is looking at.  I didn't even bother to show him the ones from the anatomy scan.  It is actually what started that long ago family feud that is the reason for some of the rules in this thread.  He isn't excited/interested in seeing them and that was apparently a problem.  So what happens again this time?  Said family member sends him an ultrasound picture to announce.  200.gif

 

I get it, I unfollow/de-friend people when they post ultrasounds too.  It is 2017, can we move past the oversharing of images of your lady bits and blurry gummy bears?

 

Besides that, I am just choosing to ignore the whole thing.  Less stressful that way.

It's cold, raining, and there's quite a lot of thunder at the moment. Glad I got the garden put to bed yesterday, there is a freeze warning for tonight. I'm not stirring out of the house today.

My new glasses are alright, I suppose. I couldn't wear them at all yesterday so thought I'd start over this morning. Not blurry at all now.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
