That is irritating.  I think my parents eventually removed a cabinet to put one in permanently.  Joys of the 1940s kitchen.  My kitchen is one of the main gripes of my house as well, but there isn't much to be done about it that won't require an extension on the house.  When they moved from a 1910s kitchen to a 1940s one, they didn't really think ahead.  Having a refrigerator/dishwasher just wasn't part of the original plan.  Although, for a kitchen in a not-huge 100 year old house, it is far from the worst I've seen.

 

 

Ya I don't know what they were thinking. The placement of the sink, stove and fridge are not conductive. They have next to no cabinet space and I have no window in my kitchen. Who the heck moves a kitchen and not bother to put in a window?? That is why my kitchen is yellow, I had to substitute yellow for some sunshine. I was getting depressed and didn't want to cook or even be in the kitchen. The yellow helps but is not ideal, but better then the grey and green they had. Although I ,made the mistake of buying paint at Lowes never again.

No its the new boss being stupid. She wanted 2 people a day.  Suddenly I was closing 3-4 nights a week.  My supervisor was gonna open because  she has kids and her husband got a new job.  She won't let her middle schooler travel 20 mins walking.  But she's scared of weirdos (mostly because she was nice and some lady kidnapped her for 2 hours and threatened to kill her... all because of a "broken down" car.)    

Anyhow,  now she wants it back the old way because she didn't like the fact she had to cover because i left and the other girl hasnt shown up.  On top of that she was pissy i was meeting supervisor who is also my friend for nails.  Well lady i could work overtime but likely you would throw me under the bus and say it wasn't authorized.  Granted I'm mostly leaving in 2 weeks but I'm trying not to burn this bridge or close the door either.  My supervisor gets written up for lack of communication.  Okay i admit sometimes she doesnt say hey I'm gonna be here today or hey I'm supposed to be there at 4 and its 415 in on my way.  But it wasn't about either of those issues... new boss throwing weight around.  New boss also micro manages too.  So instead of having me do something and dealing with an issue in not allowed to, she makes people wait on her and I stand there like a toolbar.  Super annoying.

This morn, Mrs. T-B. covered a wooden rod in gold gift-wrap, blatant cover-up man.

She had a gold-paper crown from something, crowning touch man.

Mini-B. donned the crown and brandished the goldenrod like a regal swashbuckler, dramatic wee man.

When we kissed him goodbye before skool, he said, "Don't mess up my crown!" priority for wee man.

Mini-B. will go as a rojo in a curly red clown's wig, all rojos are clowns man*.

Mrs. T-B. observed to us that Mini-B.'s skool puts out notices all the time, communicate man.

Stuff like "Tuesday will be Yellow Shirt Day," forewarnings man.

However, only a few kids will show up in yellow shirts, anemic participation man.

We & Mrs. T-B. wonder how parents can have such a lack of interest, come on now man.

Yesterday, Mini-B. excitedly showed us a letter from skool, signed by Principal man.

Mini-B.'s conduct, cooperation, and deportment have been deemed "outstanding," compliant wee man.

He shall therefore be honored at a special ceremony before skool next week, honorable wee man.

We are proud of him, proud we of wee man.
