I did tell the girl she needs to stop naming the chickens after food. We had  roosters named Spicy and Cookie. The girls named after food are Nugget, Patty (yes for chicken patty), Chip (like chocolate chip) and Cream,  and Cornmeal

If chickens aren't meant for eating, why do they taste so good, huh D ma'am?

I've had a lovely quiet day, pottering around and finding things I'd forgotten. For years, since 2003 at least, I've had belongings spread out across three countries, and it's great to have everything finally in one place.  I'm still a long way from sorted out, but I'm also in no hurry. It's cold again and will be for the next week or so, and that always makes me want to hibernate.

We aren't doing a thing for New Year's Eve. I hope to be long asleep by midnight. There's an online thing for Kiwi's and I'll do that, and get the new year rung in a day early:)

Trudi, are you feeling any better yet?  And Tbone, how's the fever?

I'm still alive and have a slightly smaller head, my eye is open ish so all good 😁

Finding things you'd forgotten is awesome!

It's rednecks birthday today, he has a bunch of friends coming to stay, yay....

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey

We got the oil changed in the T-B.-* and Mrs.-T-B.-mobiles, high time man.

We also got the tyres rotated on the Mrs.-T-B.-mobile, time too man.

We learned that GM-mobile tyres aren't supposed to be rotated criss-cross, but rather simple back-to-front, interesting man.

This is because criss-cross rotation can lead to pulling, obviously undesirable man.

We paid $Many ($2x2x2x2-1) for each oil-change, bring our own oil & filter man.

We paid $Many ($2x2x2x2+2+2) for the rotation, $Many ($2+2+1) per tyre man.

Accordingly, total expense for entire labor = $Many ($2x2x2x2x2+[2x2x2x2]+2), made out like bandit as usual man.

*2+2+1 half-of-halfs of which were Quaker State full synthetic, bought resale for us by WCG** for exactly $Many ($2+2), steal man

We attached an attachment that fits over the downspout bottom and snaps into the pipe, secure fit man.

At hardware store where we bought the above, frantic gringos were buying foam insulation for outdoor pipes, avoid bursts man.
