07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Amazing what a bit of sleep can do, not ready to murder anyone just at the moment. House is warming up, husband liked his prezzies, about to try and make some sort of dinner for tonight. To my astonishment, I managed to find a mince pie for tea at the local grocery, something I never once found in the 7 plus years we spent near LR.  Looking forward to that.

Glad you got moved ok, hope 2018 is the best yet :)

 

MIL is behaving after being told to by her daughter & pushing redneck to breaking point the other day so its reasonably stress free for now, I'm betting it won't last long but I'm making the most of it :)

Does it work?  I was sad to find out that my rotary phone won't work at my new house because we use a VOIP service, i.e. not enough power in the line.

 

Just noticed that is one of the old need to tell the operator the number type phones.

So, the Dane's truck wouldn't start today despite being plugged in.  It was below -20°F not including the windchill.  Why would it not start?  Because the Dane thought he knew better than everyone and should wait to get a new battery.  This battery is over 8 years old and has 110k+ miles on it.  My car started.
