We forgot to relay details of the POTS gala, held yesterday man.

We earned (and awarded ourself, being co. president) Many awards, see the chief ones below man:

Nola-B.'s university wanted to honorarily place us on the Dean's List, si man, but we modestly declined, no man.

 

Poland wanted to erect a statue of us in the town square in Wroclaw, oj tak.

They are still trying to figure out how Many feet tall it should be, cipher man.

The older child is coming very close to having everything in her room thrown out.  That kid will not pick up her room no matter what the consequences are.  She is driving me nuts.

Closed doors are amazing.

I wouldn't clean their rooms at her age. They were never allowed food or drinks in the rooms so it was either all toys or a mix with clothes. If they didn't have clean clothes wasn't my problem they knew where the baskets were. 

A lot less stress by keeping the door closed.

Even worse is that the Christmas influx is going to happen. I have tried to keep the three sets of grandparents to the wishlist items, but of course as usual, one of them has not complied.  

 

I did a major purge of her room this summer, but it seems it needs another one. I am kind of the mindset that if you are having trouble keeping it clean, you have too much stuff. 

 

The clothes actually do make into the laundry, it is the 80 million craft items, random kid junk, and legos that are the problem.

Mini-B. won't voluntarily up-clean his room or his play area (both rife with Legos), usually, no man.

Mrs. T-B. speaks sternly to him in Spanish, almost certainly threats with consequences man.

We can't understand it beyond the tone, English-only in our regional brain man.

However, the up-cleaning gets done, see man.

We like the black trash-bag idea, si man.

Mrs. T-B. self-reportedly feeling somewhat (but not looking much) better, slow recovery she man.

Lacking an alternative plan, she retrieved Mini-B. from skool,  she man.

And, instead of relying on canned stuff, she made a rice dish for din-din,  she man.

Why do we even have a stockpile of canned stuff if not for such emergencies, huh and duh man?

We gave Mini-B. his bath, clean wee man.

He & we then read some of the books that we had gotten for him at recent GSs, literary we & wee man.

He liked all Many (2+2) and requested 2 more, but bedtime interfered man.

Unlike last night, he readily went to bed with us in the big bed, now acceptable to wee man.

Unlike last night, he fell asleep almost immediately, rapid-zzz wee man.

He has accepted the situation, the bath put him in a good mood (as is usual), or both, either-or or both man.

We up-wrapped our 201Many activities at the POTS office and thanked the underlings, appreciative we man.

We handed each a year-end bonus (snack-sized bag of Lay's sea salt/vinegar cheaps), bought them cheap man.

All were delighted at our largesse, appreciative they man.

In Mrs. T-B.'s delerium, she actually stated, "The kitchen is a mess," wish we'd recorded this man.

She actually hasn't had much fever, is coughing less, and has been snoring loudly, recover she man.

Mini-B. just awoke, wondering where Daddy was.

We assured him that we were close by and coming to bed soon, reassure we wee man.

Must de-dish cat* prep zzz man.

Who has a kids birthday party on a school night? (My wife's idiot thuggy friends, that's who). I'm like, "GTFOH"...my kid won't be coming. 

 

These people are so ###### stupid, it frustrates me. I can tell that at least 3 of these kids have so much potential, but it's the idiot parents that's holding them back! I like these kids, this is just pitiful....

I can see my role as a motivational speaker to this dum bunch. Here's a short list of some of the stupid #### I've seen them do...

 

1- wedding reception on mother's day

2- a planned wedding reception on December 23, 2018 

3- numerous parties/ kid's parties, on school nights, some before the state tests. 

4- borrow their friend's house to have a kid's party for 100 people. 

5- spend 100K on cars, a green card, and stupid stuff while living 2 families to a 600 ft apartment

6- buying 10% of a restaurant for 80K thinking they're gonna be rich. 

7- getting suckered into multi level marketing, again, thinking they're gonna be rich...

8- oh...pull their kid out of school for a month to go on a trip to malaysia for Chinese new year.

9- going on a month-long trip that they really can't afford..

10- kid  misses the first 3 weeks of the school year, because....the kid was in malaysia! 

 

<sigh> this is the bunch of dopes that my wife befriends. Ok I understand, they're nice enough, but my wife thinks this is ####### normal!! She thinks they can do no wrong!

That would trigger a CPS investigation in MN, but I remember when I lived in NY, I only went to school for a day a week for a few years and no one seemed to care.

An addendum to my earlier post:  older child's clothes end up in the laundry, but good luck getting them put away.  If I'm not standing over her or repeatedly reminding her with a raised voice, a single load of her laundry can take 12+ hours to put away.  I've recently started setting a 2 hours time limit, but of course they are always put away messily.  *sigh*  This kid.  I used to iron my school clothes at her age and do family laundry.

1- it IS illegal to keep your kid out of school. I think it's in the....social services, or educational laws...educational neglect. But enforcement is overwhelmed. 

 

2- good luck with that. My little girl is a bona fide CAP, Chinese American Princess....
