I lived in the DC area back in the mid-1980's. I remember an office Christmas Party that mostly migrated to the rooftop of our venue because the temperatures in mid December were around 70 degrees Farenheit. Admittedly, that was an unseasonably warm week for December. I hope you enjoy the cooler Fall weather.

It snowed here one day and now it's mid 70s during the week (but about 40-55 at night.) 

I have a job shadow at the new place. Still not sure about it as I could make 70k a year being a gm at my current place of work, but will never advance that far in the new place.  So I'm still undecided.

Random thought about someone I know with let's say a dozen kids:

 

she doesn't think she should feel any sort of guilt or sadness over not being able to provide for them or relying on the government for essentials, because it is all on some higher power, not her.

 

I somehow think her kids aren't going to feel that way when they get older.

They may or may not be okay with it.  Some kids feel the way their parents do and others end up more independent.  You can hope for the latter.

The same in Tennessee. It's a bit chilly today, and tomorrow. But right back to the 80's by the end of the week. I wish the fall weather would stick around.

Mini-B. had a homework assignment today, first-grade wee man.

He was to pronounce and come up with words with the short "i" sound in them, easy enough man.

This brought back memories of two incidents (one remote, one recent), see here man:

 

#1:  Some years ago, we came home, and this dialogue ensued, see man:

Mrs. T-B.:  I bought you cheap.
T-B.:  What did you say?
Mrs. T-B.:  I bought you cheap.
T-B.:  You bought us cheap?  What the dickens does THAT mean?  We're not that cheap.   And don't let Immigration hear you say that.
Mrs. T-B. [frustrated]:  Cheap, CHEAP!  I bought you CHEAP!

Further investigation revealed that she had gone to the store and bought us a bag of potato cheaps, si man.
