With Friday off, we had planned many errands, free we man.

However, Mrs. T-B. has arranged for Home Despot people to visit at 2p to discuss remodeling our kitchen, :bonk: man.

This is part of her current "midwife crisis," her words man.

We don't really care what she does as long as it includes a commercial-grade hood vent, strong with metal blades man.

Any idea what to look for and where, huh man?

MIL is home, her list of requirements is seemingly endless.  This morning she has instructed me to make her toast, fill her cup with juice (whilst she stood next to me supervising), go fetch her prescription and rearrange the furniture.

She has phoned everyone she knows telling them her heart is failing ( its not the heart of a 20 year old but the doctor said it's not bad for 83), she has pneumonia (she doesn't) and her liver is failing (it isn't)...

What she doesn't know is her preacher was with me when we talked to the doctors and he's already text everyone to let them know what was said 😆

I have reminded her that her doctors said she is to live her life, she is not an invalid, does not have staff & I am not waiting on her.

I'm getting real good at counting back from 100 🤣

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey

Maybe if you play Gloria Gaynor's I Will Survive on repeat for MIL, it'll sink in a little.

Keep reminding her of those things. You are going to be a counting pro!

Mine finally called me at 17:30 last night wondering where I was.  At home, waiting for her to call me to say she had been moved. Wanted her list of things at once.

Newp. I told her I'd be over once we had done dinner, and she wouldn't be seeing me until at least 19:30. And then I was a tad bit late.

I took her clothes for ten days. She left her phone charger at the hospital of course and is about out of power of the phone and iPad.  I'm taking the Husband to the pictures this afternoon, to see the new Star Wars flick, and if I play my cards right when I drop by there with her charger, she will be in therapy.

Her daughter rang me three times yesterday.  She's being very sweet, which I don't trust as it is totally out of character for her. She has decided the best thing is for her husband to carry on to NE, and she will fly here on the 22nd. Looking forward to seeing us, she says. Now that's a real pity, as we are out the day before and gone.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Very cool. It looks like your style. I've never owned or even ridden a scooter but I'm definitely not a snob about it as a long time motorcycle rider. I commute to work on my moto for 10 months out of the year (currently riding the bus in Dec and Jan). I think it's a good purchase compared to Vespa. But of course, I also think Hondas are way better values than Harley Davidsons so we're in alignment in that way. Enjoy riding. It's fun in a warm climate like Cozumel.

thank you!

They're a lot of fun and great for small places like here, as you said the weather is generally nice. The Vespa was just ridiculously expensive (3-4k) and this one looks just as cool or even more, I like that it's chubby like me, hah. Sometimes you go for practical and not brand, I agree that hondas are a better value as well. Harleys are mostly for show/collectors anyway, (like vespas)
