It is weird because I would read at least several books a day to the older one.  

 

The Little Dane never makes it through a book before he wants a new book.  He doesn't really like being read to, he wants to talk about the pictures.

The older kid started with the cloth books that they chew on. Then when she was like 1, she'd sit with me and point to the pictures and wanted me to tell her what it was. It progressed from there. 

Some books she wouldn't finish. She likes the stories like the boxcar children, the baby sitters club, Emily windsnap...

 

She's a weirdo too, likes reading about rocks, forensic science, etc...

Sorta like Wednesday Addams.

Yestereve, we read to Mini-B. a book about Sea Turtles, see turtles man.

Part of the time, he seemed to be engrossed with his recently built Lego casa, constructive wee man.

However, he asked questions about some of the content during that time, aurally attentive wee man.

And he observed, "So the Loggerhead turtle has big scales on its shell and little scales on its legs, Daddy?"

wedding dress: sent, it should arrive tomorrow in time for her to do some alterations. 

I also opened up a new credit card since my bank kept canceling the other one, this one is supposed to be better, but who knows. 

 

I need to set up a routine FAST, so I can start getting busy in January.

I'm glad both my husband and my dad are arriving soon,  because my mom and I are probably going to murder each other. 

It comes down to how different we are, that she is very impatient (I can sometimes see that in myself) bossy and a bully even,

and now that I'm starting to stand up for myself things are definitely bumpier than usual. 

But hey, even if I'm not perfect and make mistakes I've always felt like a disappointment (which I think is a common feeling)

But I'm a good person. I try my best, and I won't let my own mom bully me. I am tired of feeling ashamed of having emotions. 

 

it's weird being the only one that wants to open up and talk feelings in this house. I'm incredibly lucky that I married a fantastic man,

that loves talking and being open. We never fight, even when we have disagreements we manage to address things in a respectful manner.

Being away certainly creates friction, but we've managed to survive over a year of long distance and continue to wait and remain hopeful. 

 

Anyone else has a history of a complicated relationship with a parent?
