Err congratulations...

I'm not sure she is enthusiastic either, but at least it will only be her second house and she can retreat to civilized Connecticut whenever she needs to.

The house was inexpensive, but it is going to need some work.  We are hoping to oversee it over the winter, so it will be done by the spring/summer.

And even though it is basically behind our house, you can't see it very well, so at least we'll have some privacy.  Poor Dane, my mother and I have a tendency to butt heads.

I wish I could post one of my cousin's photos on here and have you guess her age.  I can write about it all I want because I have 830183918398 cousins as might have been previously mentioned.

She is the same age as me but looks 15-20 years older (and I'd say I look about my age).  It is bad.  Like, really bad.  I can't even with it.  I get that she can't help her face, but her whole styling - hair, makeup, clothes, and ridiculous selfies aren't doing her any favors.

Back issues are the worst.

See, this is how you can tell I'm actually pragmatically frugal, unlike some other people.  The problem with disposables is not just that they are wasteful, but rather that every time a poop diaper comes along, which is 2-3 times a day, I have to take the garbage out.  I can't abide for the smell at all in the house.  Now, I hate taking the garbage out because I have to walk all the way across the yard or lift the heavy kitchen garbage out of the pain (no good for the back) [unintentional spelling mistake is staying because pail = pain].  I can't leave the bags outside the backdoor anymore to wait for a convenient time because of the neighborhood hoard of roaming cats.  They zero in on a garbage bag in a minute flat.

Did you know that you aren't supposed to put fecal matter in the trash?

*When my back is really bad, I do use disposables.

And how often must you stand up to scrape poop out of the warshable (Texas spelling) diapers, then, huh ma'am?

And aren't you bothered by the stink of that which is out-scraped, huh ma'am?

And how are the out-scrapings disposed of, huh ma'am?

Many questions, pending answers, si man.

We've been on the hunt for a rental home, since I had to quit work and my husband just got a job. We wanted to buy but it's not possible as I'm unemployed now, and he's newly employed. The job is paying him to relocate closer to the company. It's only an hour commute, but the roads get bad in the winter. So they are worried for that reason. Anyways, finding a rental close to my kids father seems to be impossible. Their father is also wanting to be an *** and saying that he won't drive them to school , if I move outside of his area. The drive would be maybe 20 mins for him, and the schools here are very very good about letting out for bad roads,  or even the weather forcasting it. He's already driving them 20 mins now to school, so there's no difference. So, tomorrow I have to go to the courts and file a motion to go back to court, and have this worked out. Even though im the primary custodial parent, and I can technically move so far. I'm trying to do the right thing.  Fingers crossed it all works out. It's stressing me out.

LPoP and unread, but the random thought crossed our mind that, hypothetically, if you were a primary custodial parent and a transportation dispute between you & an Ex arose, you should file a motion in court with fingers crossed and without out-stressing, si M ma'am.

Reason for our Saturday silence, see man:

We were heading back from GS-ing at 1 p.m. when Mrs. T-B. called, call we she man.

The power at the casa/in the 'hood was out, no key to get in man.

When we arrived, Mrs. T-B. & Mini-B. had entered via the back patio door*, enter she & wee man

*propitiously & rule-againstingly left unlocked by us, forgiven in this instance man

Well-connected neighbor gave us report, listen to he man.

Nearby transformer had exploded & set pole on fire, boom man.

Estimated time of repair was half-of-half an hour till Many (2+1) p.m., not bad man.

Mrs. T-B. & Mini-B. left for a party, party she & wee man.

We mowed entire lawn, take chance on air-conditioning soon man.

However, next estimate was for half-of-half an hour till Many (2x2x2+2) p.m., not so good man.

Shortly thereafter, next estimate was for nearly Many (2+1) a.m., unacceptable man.

We were already suffering non-off-cooled aftermath of mow-lawning, perspirational we man.

A fully cold-water shower achieved nothing, as though it were Ecuador man.

Neighbor left to talk to work crew & promised us an update, await he we man.

Neighbor hadn't returned by half an hour before dark, no see he man.

Downstairs casa had increased in inner temperature by Many degrees, at Ecu levels man.

Upstairs casa was unbearable, hotter-than-Ecu man.

We had a decision to make, decisive we man.

By flashlight, we found a phone book and called a nearby Super Many (2x2x2) motel, call we man.

They had a room, availability man.

We called Mrs. T-B. with the information, informative we man.

We grabbed our travel stuff plus tip-of-forebrain suggestions from Mrs. T-B., grab we man.

By flashlight, we loaded the T-B.-mobile and manually lifted garage door, exit we man.

We arrived at the Super Many (2x2x2) in time to find din-din before Mrs. T-B./Mini-B. arrived, ingest we man.

Mini-B. viewed the experience as a great adventure, excited wee man.

He adeptly explored the mechanical workings of the lights, plumbing, curtain, & door, inquisitive wee man.

All were ready to sleep when a message came in, Mrs. T-B. receive man.

The power had returned in the 'hood at half-of-half past Many (2x2x2+2) p.m., beat the forecast man.

We stayed overnight anyway, room paid for man.

Mini-B. was excited about the continental breakfast, albeit same stuff as at home man.

Had there been firm knowledge of the earlier power-innage, we'd have stuck it out at the casa man.

However, under the circumstances, we think that we decided rightly man.

If naught else, Mini-B.'s delight was worth almost every penny, thrilled wee man.

I made redneck build me a deck where his mom can't see from her house so I can sit outside without her calling to tell me she saw me...

Until I moved here I didn't understand how much I value privacy!

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey

And how often must you stand up to scrape poop out of the warshable (Texas spelling) diapers, then, huh ma'am?

And aren't you bothered by the stink of that which is out-scraped, huh ma'am?

And how are the out-scrapings disposed of, huh ma'am?

Many questions, pending answers, si man.

2-3 times a day, up from once every 3 days as a small baby.  I actually use a sprayer attached to the toilet, so no scraping involved at all.  I had a dog with a sensitive stomach who used to run diarrhea across the house (dogs are filthy), so no, generally not bothered by cleaning it up if it is fresh.  I am, however, bothered by lingering odors.

And how do you plan to make this up to him, huh Nola-B. ma'am?

He gets a lot as it is.  I think the occasional adult alone time during non-tired hours might help.

So...

Trophies and her mother's house is orientated much like the Redcoat  and her MIL's house...

It's a modern version of feng shui that includes nosey mother in laws. I'll pay the consulting price if my MIL ever comes to live here.
