Good lord. I've just had the MIL screeching at the husband. He was promised, and willed, an antique rifle that's been in the family for yonks. Tonight she is of the opinion she's never said such a thing.  No sir, she never said that.

But, she has and many many times. She's given it away to some guy at church.  It's a done deal.

He's spiked an incredibly high BP, is vomiting, and so angry at her he's trembling. I've never seen him so wild.

So, change of plan here. I have got to get the movers earlier, they will have to store our stuff, and until we can get into the house, we will stay at a motel. He can't be around this irrational lunatic any longer.

I have to get all of the stuff off my cell phone, it's linked to her plan. I'd appreciate anyone telling me how the heck I do that.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

wait, you're not trying to back up files, that's easy. Just bring your phone to your carrier, open your own account, and have them transfer everything to a new phone, if you're getting a new phone.

If not, there's nothing else to do.

It's an iPhone, 6 as far as I know. Every time she's got a new one, I get the old one.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

The iCloud account, is it yours or hers?

Do you know the log in?

I have my own. I can dump stuff over onto that and hopefully move it later.

Both. I'm not taking anything I've not paid for. She got a phone for me when I was being whisked off to TN for the Husband's transplant, as I didn't have one. So she could keep in touch. I no longer wish to keep in touch. You could say.

if you're planning to stay with apple, then back up your phone to iCloud.

Then go open an account, and get a new apple device, then restore from your iCloud account.

All files from your current phone will be transferred to your new phone.

If you do not have enough iCloud space to back up,

then let me know, because that's my scenario right now.

I'm backing up to PC through iTunes.

Then restoring to new device from files on PC, but thru iTunes....

Ah, you are going no contact?

Could you explain to the guy at church what has happened or would that just be rehashing the whole thing?

Mrs. T-B. informed us that she stashed Many (2+2) -- yes, MANY (2+2) -- heavy mirrors to be brought home from Mama T-B.'s casa, ADD she man.

The cleaning-chica comes at Many (2x2x2) a.m. on Wed., get casa perfect man.

Our back will not accommodate heavy lifting at that or almost any other hour, no man.

Only prayer is in the evening, pray we man.

However, c-chica will have been long-done and buyers done walk-through, expect what they see man.

And it's supposed to rain most of Wed., track up carpet we man.

Maybe we should go out NOW, grrrrRRRRRRR man.

Mrs. T-B. just awake enough to comprehend our plan, off-dozing she man.

She said, "I will do it tomorrow," saith she man.

We said, "You have a box of china that we don't need, plus our vacuum cleaner, in your trunk, see man.

"You'll never get them to fit in the Mrs.-T-B.-mobile, no man.

"Furthermore, they're heavy and you're going to hurt yourself, see man."

She said, "I will do it!  Leave me alone!"  [utterance of several mild-to-moderate oaths in Spanish]

A casa already full of stuff about which she complains "too much of" and she keeps bringing home more, grrrrRRRRRRR man.
