OK, background. For you newer guys here....

Gump is my SIL's husband.  You had to have been at the beginning of the thread (Early 20...13?) to know the story.

Gump said he sent 15K US back to Malaysia for his father to get a stent.

Me,  "but Malaysia has national healthcare"

He said, yeah but it sucks.

I said, yes I know.

I asked how much the sugery cost.

he said, "30,000 ringgit.

I said, but that's about 7000 US.

Where does the 15k come from?

He said, oh the exchange rate wasn't that good.

I said, but the exchange rate is 1 USD to 4 ringgit, you're not even close.

Anyway, I', like, you know you have never sent a penny to our FIL (whom doesn't need the money. But that's not the point).

I said, you can do a lot with the extra money that you sent.

It's very frustrating watching this ###hole...

Someday, I'm sure this is going to trickle to the point to where my wife will have to help her sis.

Which isn't fair to our kids.

Mama T-B.'s ES went off far better than even the ES lady had projected, $i man.

ES lady had predicted $Many, but it took in $Many, dig that man.

Event was slammed with rabid customers for the first 2 hours solid, good advertising man.

A little after 2 p.m. (hour before closing), we & Mrs. T-B. showed up separately, great & ADD minds work alike man.

Chinese lady was happily buying our old breakfast table/chairs/coffee tables, bye after Many years man.

New next-door neighbors were carrying out Mama T-B.'s leather sofas, stock new digs man.

South Asian-looking man bought Mama T-B.'s glass end-tables, good taste he man.

ES lady was cutting good deals on remaining stuff, savvy she man.

Mama T-B. then showed up and looked both pleased and dazed, senior she man.

She began collecting cheap plastic flowers (from the year Many) for her new casa, retrieve she man.

Mrs. T-B. collected leftover chica-type serving-platters, et al. that there's no room for in our casa, sigh man.

We barely had time to blow to the donation place with some lamps and blow back, blowhard we man.

We then began collecting metal items (old cookware, garage stuff) for the scrap-metal dealer, take Monday man.

The T-B.-mobile's trunk is very full, packed we man.

ES lady will return tomorrow to haul off other donatable stuff, give receipt to Mama T-B. man.

Sadly yet expectedly, there are already Many new bags of trash, must deal with creatively we man.

However, we are confidently up for said task, trash we man.

We are happy with the ES lady's work, pleased that our stuff mostly sold, and happy for Mama T-B., happy we man.
