The kid had strep a couple of weeks ago. Got Amox. 

Then after a few days, she developed an "amoxicillin rash". Tested negative allergic to penicillin family abx. 

Her doc decided that the Amox killed all the bacteria, good and bad. Left her skin with no immunity to the elements, detergent, dirt, cleaners, soap, etc...

Recommended culturelle probiotics for kids. 

 

2 days later, rash, gone. FYI. 

But she did say the rash will go away in time anyway, when she gets the healthy bacteria back.

I get that rash too and omg I itch like crazy.

 

I also will develop scarlet fever from strep. Had to get my heart checked a few times. 

 

Glad the rash cleared up.
