Right, so Amazon wanted to up my membership from $49/year to $99 as I've hit the limit on student years.  $99 for what, though?  Target and Walmart have free shipping and it is quick.  Often times the prices are the same, if not better.

Do you use Amazon TV for streaming movies and tv? That seems to be worth the price alone. Although, we've been coasting for free on the introductory 6 month student membership from the wife.

What's the limit on student years, by the way?

If I were going to have more kids and could possibly give birth naturally, I would have a midwife.

But I'm not and I can't so I wont.

We have amazon prime.  I can wait 2 days for ####### vs driving to the store.  Bigger selection.  If I want it now I can go to the store.

A real life immigration story of the kind that some of us read on the VJ immigration forums just happened to an amiga of La Colombiana.

Her friend from Venezuela of 2 years who was originally in the US on a tourist visa with her daughter met a guy during that time and sort of clicked with this local guy. They married and went through AOS. Originally I thought the guy was alright but he turned into a pain in the ### after marriage. Unfortunately within a couple of months of the wedding he got into an auto accident, then quit his job and went onto SSI disability. She was stuck doing 2 jobs to help him make his $1,200 truck payment - which he eventually defaulted on and the dealer repossessed. Anyway, she received green cards for herself and her daughter just 2 weeks ago and I just got a text from the wife saying her friend is leaving the husband. So I guess it's onward with the i-751 divorce waiver.

When I read these cases on VJ it's easy to wonder if the petitioner isn't using the beneficiary for the green card. But in a real life case like this where I've gotten to know both parties, it's much more difficult to judge them in a black and white way.

I think it is 3 or 4.  We have Netflix and I borrow a relative's comcast account... It has probably been at least a year since I watched anything on Amazon and as I recall, it wasn't good.

Well, in their defense, you do get a lot of ####...

TV, cloud, music, free ship on little #### like a pair of scissors or something that you'd have to spend like 4 bucks on gas just to go get it, etc...

Eh, I don't use any of that really.

Target is 1-2 day shipping for free where I am.

If I could back to the first one, that is what I wanted.  There is a great lay midwife who works with the Mennonites here.  I'm just too high risk for a home birth so far from a hospital.

Sometimes when I read things from the American, I just want to say, you know you are a narcissist and your immigrant relative would have some interesting things to say over on the just no MIL subreddit, right?  I'm by no means innocent of this, but often times there is a reason that they aren't dating domestically.  For me, it was because I was a single mother - for someone else it might be because they send up warning bells to Americans.

Who has a $1200 car payment?!?!?!  That's insane.  I was telling the Dane the other day that I'm pretty sure that some of the spouses nearby who have a really expensive Suburban or whatever are working just to pay for the car.

The big guy, has it out for the Polish guy...

I think I mentioned that he wanted to fire him.

But he got into a very minor fender bender in the new car. I think I mentioned that too...

That was like what, September?

Now he wants to dock him....

It's a bit late now I would say.

Ya that's nuts. I use the boy's prime if I need something faster and can't pick it up at walmart.

It is harder when you get to see both sides.

I wanted to do the Midwife with the last two. The Hillbilly was to paranoid so I just did the hospital bit to make him feel better. I don't know why since they were useless here anyways.

A tricked out F-150 truck with mediocre credit rating is how I believe he ended up with $1,200. He tried driving Uber for a time but it couldn't even pay for the gasoline he was using.

Yeah, I feel you on the American dating outside the USA. My explanation is that I'm a lifelong experience junkie. I'll try anything once. I'd had a series of relationships with American women but nothing caught on. So I met Caro online and figured what the heck. I'm 18 yrs older so I'm always ready for that one day when she might get tired of my schtick and walk out. One day at a time is so cliche and yet there's probably no truer cliche in the world.
