Submitting DS-5535 to NVC

while side loading will it be ok to submit DS-5535 to NVC ?? no harm right ?

 

i noticed a lot of people from tough embassies getting AP with a request to submit DS-5535

i would prepare it because it doesn't hurt to be proactive. ensure you submit it during interview. it will mitigate your AP wait time

the state department asks for this form DS 5535 when there are security issues

why would u call this kind of attention to your application?

Have you traveled to countries related to terrorism?

Is your name similar or the same as someone who may be on a watch list?

I agree that it is used to determine terrorist ties but it seems to me that OP has been observing the trend of his embassy and others in his region of the world and they are requesting that form. I see no harm in having the former filled out and if at end of interview he is given that for that requests additional info OP can then hand in the form.

The OP's profile indicates Pakistan.  However, I agree with not submitting it to NVC.

OP I think you were onto something here. Today October 18th US government will now be collecting social media information on all permanent residents and naturalized citizens. This could mean that all potential immigrants may be required to submit this form so as to provide the information they seek so that they can keep a check on what types of activities or interest we have online. 

 

I went ahead and printed the form and completed it. The hardest section was my travel history. Had to go through 3 passports. 

 

Just in case it is a requirement I have done the hard work ahead of time.
