Hi guys. I hope someone give me right advice. I am waiting for approval of cr1 spouse visa. recently i went to make new passport as my old one was expired and passport office said i have to spell my address of post office as nagari because recently its fixed spelling by government so i can not change it even thou my old passport got different spelling which is nagori . My birth and marriage certificate already mentioned my post office as nagori because i followed my old passport which is not machine readable . Do u think it will be problem. Thanks

"Nagari"  and "Nagori" is all most same.  It is Government issue  where you have no control. During your birth and marriage certificate, it was "Nagori" and now it is "Nagari".  That's why you have to use the new one. I don't see any problem here.

I doubt this will be a problem in any shape or form. The embassy in Bangladesh is fairly aware of this kind of technicalities and would not make a big deal out of it. In case you get question about it explain it without any hesitation, let them know that you are fully aware of this difference and it is beyond your control.

Good luck

Agree with @hellraiser. It's a change taken by the Govt and it's obvious all govt departments and foreign embassies and consulates will take this change into consideration. You don't have to worry about that. They might have changed from Nagori to Nagari but your house number, street name and postal/pincode will still remain the same.
