Hello,

I was just looking at the information on this site for the I-130 guides regarding current processing times and I noticed that it said the processing times for Nebraska visa centre I-130 application is currently up to January 2017. However, when actually checking the USCIS website for visa processing site that this site links you too it says Nebraska is on December 2016 for 1-130 .... I am thinking this isn't correct considering the website was last updated June 2017. .... can any help me as, I think I may just be causing more confusion for myself .... my current I-130 is at Nebraska my husband submitted this Feb 2017... and I am still awaiting approval....

Thank you :)

Welcome to slowbraska where everything has come to a crawl. Unfortunately the NSC has been stuck on Nov/Dec applications for months. Unlike other processing centers like Potomac, Texas and Vermont who are into April the NSC is still stuck in 2016. My NOA1 date is Feb 2017 and I have not heard anything. I've emailed the Omudsman, 2 USCIS directors about the slow processing times but never heard anything back.

Currently i130's at the NSC are taking on average 9-10 months for an approval. If you fill out your timeline on Visa Journey it will give you an estimated completion date. There are some people who are getting approvals for Jan, however there are still applicants who are waiting for approval from Nov/Dec. It's a disorganized mess.

I can't believe it has taken so long myself. When I first started out this journey I expected the i130 to take at most 6 months to complete (just like other service centers). I don't know what's going on with Nebraska and USCIS has sent out absolutely no communication to address why there is such a backlog.

I have seen January approvals from Nebraska. USCIS site is always behind and doesn't get updated regularly. Nebraska is the slowest one and you can check some approvals here which will give you some idea what they are working on.

That is so disheartening :( my husband submitted my application January and they sent out my notice February the 4th so does that class as my NOA1 date ?

I have been waiting 8 months too and when my husband called they said it could take until December just to get the approval :( what a load of BS ... I didn't expect to be waiting all this time for sure ....

Yes, the NOA1 date is the one that is given on your Notice of Action sheet that is mailed out to you. You are welcome to join the venting in the Nebraska filers thread.

My NOA1 date is Feb 8 so I completely understand where you are coming from. We have tried everything to get this center moving again. I have no idea what if effect if any it's had. There are so many frustrated people but you are not alone.

in the jan 2017 filers group there are approvals for up to Jan 17th at the moment, so Nebraska is way further than the website suggests.

that's because once USCIS updates the info, it already has expired. It takes them 75 days for the processing calculations to appear online, so it doesn't really reflect the current cases they're working on. Having said that, like other people mentioned they haven't really made much progress... Both Acidrain and myself are February filers and are waiting, with people from November and December as well. But the only thing we can hope is that they will eventually clear the backlog and catch on, a bit at least. sigh.
