Yah, a really strange situation ☹️ That’s why i dont know now what to do.. is it okay that i will arrange the papers, organized them just like what i did when i first submit my package?. I dont know now what to think really. 😩

It doesn't matter how you organize them. You can organize them exactly how you want it. There are some tips on the USCIS website if you haven't seen it.

I've seen ppl get submissions back for no or the wrong reason many times... unfortunately it happens and it just sucks to be that person, since it's your life, your time... but you will be fine in the end. I would do as it says also and check that the forms are properly filled out. Just to be on the safe side, never hurts.

And my other problem is since they rejected twice my application, do i have to make another cheque or just the same cheque?. And i’m sure that i am paying the fees correctly.. $1,225, $1,140 for AOS and $85 for Biometric fee..

By the way, thank you so much ❤️

that really sucks, sorry to hear that. Since they returned your check, I would make out a new one - make sure you do it exactly as they specify.

When re-resubmitting your forms, I'd add a sentence to the cover letter, something like: "in response to your letter dated [date], I hereby resubmit my Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, form i-485, edition 6/26/2017, as requested."

Triple-check you printed all the right forms and filled it all out and signed/dated it. I'd definitely reprint and re-sign/re-date it so they know you did what was asked. It just sucks that that gives you a later priority date.

Good luck!

You will receive a letter with an appointment to go do your biometrics. It normally shows up within 1-3 weeks of NOA1's but with the current backlogs I've seen it take longer as well. It will depend a lot on your local office / ACS center. :) Good luck!

Hi @Charlene Gei,

Do you mean they made a mistake to recognize that you have resubmitted the updated version of 485 in the 2nd time?

Or, did you resubmit for three times?

Compared to you 485 form in the 1st submission, did you change any part related to the rejected letter of the use of outdated 485 form?

Meanwhile, would you please specify what else you had the new copies in your last resubmission in addition to the latest 485 form?

For instance, cheque, 131, or 765? Thank you very much for your answers. I am in the same situation now.

Hello, 😊 i did resubmit three times, i did not change anything, i submitted the same supporting documents from the first time i submitted to them, i just arrange the paper the way it looks like when i submitted the first time to them (base on my cover letter) because i know that when they return it back the papers to you it’s rearrange.. Follow the instruction notice they gave it to you, in my case, although they indicate that my I-485 form is the only outdated, what i did is i made a new I-765 and I-131 also just to make sure.. And don’t forget the green paper on top of your resubmittal..

Hello, i’m so sorry for my late reply.. I waited for 2weeks i think.. Don’t worry, as long as they texted you or emailed you (if you attached the form G-1145) that they recieved your application it is automatically accepted your petition and they are going to review.. And about the payment maybe more than 1week after they cash it..
