I received an RFE today requesting evidence for the beneficiary’s intent to marry me in the United States. It is asking me to submit a statement from my fiancé, wedding preparations or other evidence that establishes his intent to marry. Any suggestions on what would be best to submit? My fiancé is in the Dominican Republic. Thanks in advance.

you can type a letter stating he intends to marry you within 90 days of his arrival to the untied states he would need to sign it

Yes...as part of the I-129F both the petitioner and the beneficiary have to write a "letter of intent" to marry within the 90 days of visa issuance and have to sign it. This is our letter format

"

To whom it may concern

I, 'petitioner's full name',  do hereby state that I am legally able and very willing to marry 'beneficiary's full name'. I do intend to marry 'beneficiary's full name' within 90 days of his/her arrival into the US., with the K-1 visa. Thank you.

Regards,

Petitioner's full name

Petitioner's signature

That's it...we kept it small and simple and didn't have any problem. We got approved. Hope this helps :) Good luck

If they want evidence that he intends to marry you, depending on your wedding plans, I suggest a letter from a Justice of the Peace that you have retained and paid for their services, along with a copy of a cashed check.  Wedding ring receipts or  a letter from your pastor are also good.  These are all documents that show you are making concrete plans to marry.  I personally used the letter from the JOP and the cancelled check.  My wife and I have been married almost a year now.

Good Luck :)

All that is nice but not necessary. All you need is a typed letter signed showing that your fiancé intends to marry you. Mostly everyone uses the letter from the post above.

Got a request for a second letter of intent in our RFE (they didn't like my Divorce Decree for some reason). Like the bit about the JP being reserved ... We really cannot make any realistic preparations due to the uncertainties of the timing of all this.
