I-130 Case Inquiry

last month I was able to submit a case inquiry for my pending I-130. 
I just got a letter from USCIS saying : "We have researched the status of your case . We had to perform additional review and this has cause a delay in processing time" 

Has anyone got a status update like this before? do you know what does additional review mean? 

I recently got Global entry just so I assume my background check etc should be good .

Correction the letter further states:  "We have researched the status of your case . We had to perform additional review and this has cause a delay in processing time. your case is inline for processing and adjudication. and will be processed in the order in which it was received" 

So this make me wonder is USCIS saying there is a delay in processing all applications or are they reviewing my application?

Yep. Had the same thing myself twice. Standard reply. Comes out usually 24hrs before the end of the review period and basically buys them time. Means nothing at all about your case. Just allows them to "meet their deadlines " and check the box
