Hello Everyone!

I need some guidance. I have my fiancee from Dominican Republic, I made a decision to pay her touris visa to come to the U.S. and it was APPROVED. Since this happened now, I want to marry her in the U.S. I was looking for some advice in the internet. I saw that it can be visa fraud, cause I attend to marry her with a tourist visa. I didnt attend to skip a step at all. I know there is procedure for k1 visa or CR1, and its not fair for the people who was waiting to see their love one’s. :( But wasnt planning for her to stay, I just wanted her to explore my country with me. Now I just her on my side living with me. I’m U.S citizen and im over 21 years old

As long as she didn't enter with the intent to come here and marry, then she can stay and adjust status.

As long as she didn't enter with the intention to marry and stay and adjust.  It's fine to enter to marry. It's the 2nd part that matters. This was determined at POE. She can file to adjust status just fine.

Good for you but this is why its hard for a lot of single people to get a VISA .. you skipped a step i dont for a minute believe you didn't intend for this to happen and won the lottery so to speak. Congrats to you but realize this is why so many people have a hard time getting a visa.

Agreed. Sooner adjustments from B2's are stopped the better.

I wish both Canada and USA would just stop allowing this .. it would make it so much easier for those who legit want to travel. For the life of me I dont understand why they do allow AOS .. just make someone go home and adjust from there.
