Are you referring to the firefighter story? If so I said:

There are racists everywhere, not only in America. And they come in all kinds of forms and shapes and colors. As a individual you can either be defeated by it or you can make choices to improve your life. I rather choose the last option.

yes, i know what you said. i don't think that the op is indicative of 'everything done or said is racist'

i didn't say only america has racists. i said racism in america is a real problem.

It is sad. Very sad .

And now? You will never share any food again?

I'm still thinking: will my white co workers be insulted if I share my crackers with them?

No I was shocked and disappointed that a nice guy like me, who just likes seeing everyone around me happy, would be accused of something like that because , some young people have head their head filled full of garbage.

Yeah and as a person you have a choice how to deal with it. Not going to share my life story ( otherwise you might think I'm trying to convince you of something, I have to choose my words carefully) but I know what and have experienced racisme is. And racisme is basically the same everywhere: one or multiple groups feel superior and use that in their own benefit to dominate the other group or groups.

what does any of that has to do with what i said concerning racism in america being a real problem?

That racism is not unique to America, but that there is a huge difference compared with other countries, even the countries with a  9 similar) slavery history/background.

In my opinion the obsession with race is unique in America , a good example is that you have to fill out your race on almost every application.

And that concerns me as a parent, i want them to learn that they say thank you if someone offers them watermelon and not feel insulted. And that they believe in their own strength and that their race doesn't define who they are.
