I-134 and tax transcripts?

Heya. In the middle of K1 visa, and expecting my NOA2 anytime soon.

Now we're already looking at the I-134 (Affidavit of Support)  where my fiance will have to provide me with supporting evidence. It says that you only have to supply recent tax transcript if self-employed. However, reading posts on visajourney it seems like at some US embassies they prefer that you submit it, even if the US fiance/fiancee is not self-employed.

Those who went through K1 process, did you have to submit your partner's tax transcripts with the I-134 at the Sydney US embassy? If you didn't have it at the time did they request it?

yes, they need proof of income / some have submittied letter of emplyment from  employer / other high fraud countries have had to submit tax returns

but all need evidence of income

I do understand about the employment letter, bank statements etc. which we're fine with supplying for proof of income with the I-134.

 

I'm talking about tax transcripts and the Sydney US embassy in general, and whether or not they request it to be submitted even though partner is not self-employed.

For this section - we submit copies of my husband's last 2 tax returns / W2's and 3 months of pay slips. 

This was sufficient for us. 

Although we submit the I-134 and it's evidence in the initial K1 pack - and had copies at the time of Consulate interview. 

 

We did not use transcripts during the K1 or the AOS process (and our AOS was approved last month).
