Thanks everyone. :)

Just got home from work. Tracy was at my base posting replies to you.

It's had me grinning :D

I'm not fussed about not having a pay slip, I'm sure they'll find one when it comes to having their hands out to be crossed with silver. What I would like to see though, is this form IV18 with instructions on.

We tried searching for it here, on the US site and the London embassy site but no results. Does anyone have a link to where I can see one?

Edit: Thanks for the birthday wishes Mags ;):P

Was at the London Embassy on Wed. for my husband's interview. The visa fee is paid the day of the interview in cash or charged and there is no slip or anything beforehand ... when paid they generate a receipt ... 1 copy for them & 1 copy for you ... looks like a credit card receipt. Also the courier takes both cash and credit cards and will also allow you to upgrade to more expensive service ... before 10 am, on Sat., etc. ... when they have your package and are scheduling delivery.

The date of travel is obviously an awkward question to answer and it comes up in 2 separate places. At the end of the IV15 (packet 3 checklist), I put July 2007. On the online DS 156 it requires an actual date before you can click continue to get the printable form with barcode. I changed my mind about the date between filling out the 2 forms and on the DS 156 I put 22nd June.

It definately makes a difference. The London consulate has long been known for attempting to accomodate the travel date, and especially the wedding date.

I once saw a VJ member send her P3 back with a wedding date like - 4 weeks away - or something like that. Damned if they didn't give her an interview nearly IMMEDIATELY - when she got P4 on a Thursday her interview was the following Monday. She posted here in a panic, and POSTPONED the interview (can you believe it!) because she didn't have all her paperwork ready.

Congrats on the June interview date. I haven't been reading a lot on VJ recently, so I had to do a search to find out what was going on with your case. And look at that. Now that you're out of USCIS you've rocketed ahead of my timeline. The advantage of going through a quicker consulate, and of course doing K1 instead of CR1. I'm thinking maybe it'll be August for us. Hoping anyway. Congratulations again.

Well I have put June 2007 down as the travel date on my Packet 3, but as I'm doing CR-1 and we are already married I don't really have any fantastic excuse for NEEDING to get out there quickly other than the fact that I'd like to. It's worth a try though.
