Married - now what

My best friend married his K-1 Fiance before the 90 days were up.  His question is - Is there a timeline in which he must submit the AOS paperwork with the $1,000+?  Example 90 days after wedding.  I haven't seen any & I am in process of filing my 2nd year AOS for my wife, so it is too long ago, for me to remember.

As far as I know there is not limit now when you should file for AOS, but eventually (I think after the 90 days are over) the beneficiary will be out of status until filing. Until then it will further delay things like work authorization and advance parole.

there is no time limit, as long as you are married. Just don't leave the US

There's no limit, but the status of the wife is kind of a grey area.  While she isn't likely to be deported, it's also like being in limbo for having some kind of legal status in the US. She can't work, obtain a drivers license, or travel out of the country.  Which can be hard for the wife, especially  if she's stuck at home all the time.
