No actually I would not. The NFL has never allowed players to personalize , advertise a cause or whatever. Actually the regs strictly prohibit it. Jim Mchamon got in all kind of trouble and was fined for wearing JDRF head band. Many other examples thru the years.

then why isn't the nfl fining the players who kneel? or firing them?

I honestly don't know if they can or cannot. I wonder what's in the Collective Bargaining Agreement? It seems they have rules for everything spelled out and I have never seen the NFL mention fining players for kneeling.

i definitely don't know. it seems so long as they're not kneeling when they're supposed to be playing, the nfl doesn't/shouldnt care and trump/pence are simply being political opportunists.

They can. It's clearly a violation of league policy. It's spelled out quite clearly.  They will not because they are scared of being called racist, for treating them the same. Ironic isn't it

I got several buddies that work at a nearby military base. They are not allowed to wear political clothing or even bumper stickers on the job. Is this a violation of the 1st.

As a a military officer I could not endorse or comment on politics,  while in uniform

You get the picture

I believe someone already posted the league possible.

If I recall it states that they SHOULD stand, not MUST.

Football players are nothing like members of the armed forces, IMO. Players are entertainers. Nothing more.

Yeah the picture is you took an oath on elistment that basically says the military owns ever part of your body down to your toenails. No such oath for professional athletes.
