Hi,

Can anyone confirm if finger prints are required with their national police check for k1 visa purposes?

The Australian federal police have two options the applicant can select:

-national police check $42 (online application)

-national police check with fingerprints $139 (postal application and finger prints taken at local station).

Any experiences related to this would be greatly appreciated. Obviously would prefer to do the online application for convenience purposes.

Thanks!

I did both mine and my daughter's without the fingerprints with all legal names and had no issue whatsoever.  The embassy only requires the online one save your money you will need it for your Medical and other things . The police check was posted to us within a week of application.  However you should allow 2 weeks just in case .
