Hi friends, I went for a job interview yesterday and just this afternoon they called and offered me the job. When I mean a job, a befitting one that I never expected to secure. I am now waiting for offer letter from the company in order to alert USCIS. For those who expedited their EAD, pls guide me on how best I can go about having it submitted for expedite and action taken fast; do I need to request for tier 2 or speak with a customer service rep. Meanwhile, I submitted an SR for out of normal processing time, which has not yet been assigned to an officer. Thank you.

no need for a tier 2, you just call and ask to expedite - you can also do it through your congressman's office... if you call USCIS, ask for the fax number so that you can fax in the evidence when asked for it instead of sending it by mail. On rare occasions you aren't asked for evidence but don't expect that. Expect to get a letter in the mail asking for evidence.

oh and congratulations!! :D

Thank you suss. Do I need to write my receipt number on the offer letter or prepare a cover letter and write the receipt no on it?

You will be asked for evidence. As always whenever sending documents to USCIS it's always good to have a cover letter explaining what the documents are , and on that letter have A-number, name and address. Application/receipt# couldn't hurt either :)

The most important thing is ofc the job offer letter.

ordinaryly the company does the work visa process

this is because the lawyers for this process are expensive and companys hiring foreigners have attorneys on the payroll

you can do yourself but for faster serivce,  don't be afraid to submit a request to this company and provide them with all your documentation when they agree to it

you will have to renew the work visa in a few years and important company can help supply all needed information to immigration

we have a German friend working here 4 years, owned a house and all / he tried to supply all documents himself to renew and it just wasn't fast enough and he had to return to Germany

This is not for a work visa. Do you actually read any posts you comment on? Your information is constantly incorrect and/or concerning other situations entirely. It's really confusing.

I am adjusting from K1; AOS /EAD pending. Well friends, the company is really fast, I guess because they really want me to work for them. I have just received the offer letter, but it has the following listed: Position offered, amount paid per hour and mode of payment which is bi-weekly, terms of offer, employment classification, and job description acknowledgement.

There is no start date or scheduled work time. Pls confirm if your job offer was in the same format.

Congratulations on your new job....but just wondering why you would apply for jobs not even knowing when or if your EAD gets approved? I hear they are 4-6 months out on the EAD's, hopefully yours comes through soon ( I see your around 4 months, probable will be fine!). :):)

Ok, but in the mean time the people who hired you are waiting? I get it that it can be expedited but how fast does that happen? Sounds like they will be flexible since they want him hired, hehe. Just saying it seems like a bad idea.

How is that a bad idea? If they don't want to wait no one's making them. It's totally in the hands of the employer. If they believe the person to be worth the wait they do, and it's a win/win - if they don't then that's fine too.

well, a lot of people applied and used a job offer to expedite. EAD is currently taking much longer if not expedited. I decided to try to apply, knowing fully well I will get a job once given the opportunity for an interview. 3 hours ago, I received a voice message inviting me for another job interview. I have already accepted an offer today so hopefully, i will be using it to expedite. I also have a first class mail on the way, when i tracked the origin, USPS is about 10 mins drive from USCIS field office in Texas. I wonder if its by chance letter for either interview or EAD card/approval. No updates on my case. Wondering how possible I could receive response from Texas instead of NBC or my field office in Florida.

Yeah, true...and they understand the situation, I just read it as putting the cart before the horse type of scenario.

It's cool and I understand now, makes sense to apply right away and I'm sure they understand. Hope it is your EAD approval letter or asking for info. Yeah, we are in the middle of the advanced parole and my wife's AOS, I think the times are increasing now. Anyways, hope you get your EAD soon, and again congrats on a new job. Keep us informed.

It's also very hard not to apply for jobs hahahaha I was sooooo restless I kept busy among other things by adapting resume's looking for companies where I wanted to work and about half way in I started applying...  good practice, and way to keep busy with a possible bonus if lucky.
