Is or has anyone else experienced this long of a wait?  We have not received anything , no RFE , no denial , no approval.  Does anyone know what this could mean?  I've tried to inquire online and it rejects inquiry saying we are still within normal processing times,  Yet USCIS website shows times of approximately 5 months......confused

you are within normal times as everything has slowed down due to number of applications

and NVC stage is backlogged with people waiting for visa number to come up

not to be an alarmist but the holidays are coming and so many will have to use vacation time before end of year or loose it

you are looking to 2018 for an interview

good luck

Wow that was rude...

he/she is right. Read through the forum and google it.

Officially you are in the processing timelines but you can call.

I understand you must be frustrated for waiting this long for NOA2 , but probably better for your interview to try to be less attacking. As they will also be asking cornering and frustrating questions.

omg wait I didn't do k1 interview! How do I know??? Oh yeah common sense and lots of similar interviews in life.

Good luck

I saw someone a week ago said they were at day 198. I tired to find their info for you but couldn't.

Search through may filers as that person might as well write it there somewhere.

I hope they'll see your post so you can get answers!

good luck again

@kris&me is correct in the information she provided to you.

You owe her an apology for your comment above (and then further belittling her on her profile page afterwards which is able to be viewed by everyone here).

It's frustrating to wait, but attacking the person, belittling and cursing at them when they took the time to provide you with valid and helpful information out of that frustration is not needed.  Kris&me didn't deserve that.

Going forward, you can certainly call to inquire from them directly, although they'll probably inform you that you are within their normal processing time right now given the slowdown/backlog.

i got the information by googling a question

Like "how many applications are now in USCIS?'

or how many applicaitons were approved by USCIS?

immigration has charts with all these numbers by month (Novemer yearly reports) with how many people are employed by immigration

anything you want to know is out there online

if you don't want answers from us,  look it up

but don't abuse our answers as some of them are only our opinions and what we have gone thru  / others go thru an entirely different experience

look up NVC to see how many applications are on hold waiting for a visa number)

what people don't realize is a number is issed for each and every applicaition / if the visa is denied, the number is not used again (that was explained to me by my attorney)

I think it depends on the country

i think your app is not lost

i think the processing times are growing

i think that this process requires much patience.  This process is not for the faint- hearted.

i think the government will not want all kinds of calls and will reply when they are ready.

i don’t think there is an easy answer because every case is unique.  Some countries are concerning while others less so.

i say just be patient and don’t look at the site every minute.  As they say a watched pot never boils.  I try to heed my own advice.

It will happen!!
