Anyone from the UK applied to have application expedited?

We are currently waiting for our file to be received by the NVC. It was sent to the DOS on 29th Sep 2017.

 

We plan to send an expedite request once we receive our case number from the NVC and was just wondering if anyone from the UK has been successful with this?

Is there much point? If you have all your documents ready to go as soon as you have your NVC case number it takes between 8 and 11 weeks to finalize your case. Interview is about 6 weeks after that, at most. There is hardly any wait for London interviews. The worst part is over. The waiting now is nothing compared to what you've done already. How long would it take to submit an expedite request and wait for that to be approved? Would it really save much time? Last year there was a London embassy applicant who successfully expedited through the NVC to embassy as the spouse was about to be moved (military). Our timelines were identical until that point. If I recall, their interview was 2 weeks before mine. That's all that they saved timewise.
