hello everyone,

me and my gf(usc)  of almost 2 years now decided that we wanna get married in the united states when we met in person for a week !  we do not have an engagement ring and i surely did not have enough time to propose to her but we def discussed our plan and got her a promise ring is that gonna be causing us problems when she files the petition or at any point during my interview ? do we need proof of engagement like an engagement ring or photos or anything of that sort ? or is it enough in our case that our relationship is genuine and that we are willing to get married during the 90 days !!

Engagement ring is not required to file I-129F however you will BOTH need to write separate letter and sign them stating that you both agree to get married within 90 days of arriving in the USA.

You could always get an inexpensive ring and take photos of her wearing it.

Good luck

Steven

It should be enough for the k1 process. But I've been reading on here that the k1 process from your country is almost impossible, especially with only 1 week facetime. Im sure others that know more about your embassy will comment on it. But cr-1 maybe your best bet, but a whole lot more facetime will be needed for your embassy.

For Casablanca Consulate you will need as much proof as possible and you must have pictures and you must meet at least 3 times because 1 week is not enough at all even if you do a K1 or a CR1 more visits is best because this is a strict consulate

so it seems pretty impossible with only 1 visit ?! Should we go through the process or plan other visits

Yeah you will probably need more visits. Keep all the evidence that you can. And the best route would still probably be cr-1 for your embassy (even with more visits).

Definitely you should consider more visits.  Not saying you won't get it with one but this is a very difficult embassy and it may be very hard to get approved with just a visit of one week.  Besides, you will want to spend time together to really get to know each other.
