You can boil salt water to make it suitable for drinking, right? I chose enough food of one kind to eat for a month, and I chose peanut butter. LOL Plenty of protein and sodium and I won't have to eat bugs.

Boiling salt water won't get rid of the salt. It might get rid of the water, but not the salt.

I think I'd want a bottle of rum. In the movies, that always gets you off the island, plus, you get to be tipsy.

You have to distill it. Basically boil the water in a sealed container with a pipe leading off from it to capture the steam and condense it in another container. Then you can drink it.

11/30/2007 = Rec'd NOA1 hard copy in the mail

12/20/2007 = Touched

03/12/2008 = Touched (due to phone call)

03/24/2008 = NOA2!!!!!!!!!

05/05/2008 = Arrived at Consulate

I don't know if husbands count as an item, but if they do, that's what I'd take! He's very inventive and could probably invent a water filtration system, and would make some meals out of grass and leaves that would actually taste good. :lol:

If that's not allowed, then water. :P
