Career in America

I am just curious what other immigrants are doing in America, if you started to study here, what did you study? I am a woman looking for a career now. I know there are hundreds of options, but I am just trying to get more ideas :) I would not want to study finances or something with math, thinking about medical field but worried that it might be too hard to memorize all that and study in English...Would be great to have just 1 year education, something fast, just thinking what would be profitable :) Any ideas?

To be realistic, one year of education is unlikely to be “profitable”... there is huge competition for jobs in the US, even for graduates. You should really be looking at what interests/motivates you rather than just where you think you'll make money.

the medical field is undoubtedly one that is profitabie and growing, and there are many many options of routes into it. But the more/longer  you study, the better your job opportunities.

Focus on your ESL first, and look at certificates/AA degrees available at community colleges where you live.  Radiology, Medical Records, Nursing Assistant, etc.

Med tech. - you can do an Associate's degree and do the certification. There's career growth opportunities. I don't know what is "profitable" to you...  you'll make okay money. https://www.glassdoor.com/Salaries/medical-technologist-salary-SRCH_KO0,20.htm
